> Con seguridad estas cuatro series de "Organia" (en formatos 26x37, 26x42, 33x46 y 50x70) compuesta por 43 monotipos alucinantes no pasarán desapercibidas ni entre entendidos, galeristas, coleccionistas/inversores y, en definitiva, entre amantes del Arte en general. Y lo hará por la forma tan peculiar del tratamiento del espacio y del dibujo que imprime Rafa Muñoz en sus piezas únicas, y que con tanta preocupación, virtuosismo y esmero muestra por este tema en particular.

> Rafa Muñoz bebe, asimismo, de las fuentes de Gustave Doré (Estrasburgo, 1832 / París, 1883) en sus magistrales grabados para la Divina Comedia del Dante Alighieri (Florencia, 1265 / Rávena, 1321): recuérdese esos hombres arborescentes del Purgatorio o el coro circular de ángeles observados por Dante y Beatriz en el Paraíso y grabados por el francés y del que nuestro artista, Rafa Muñoz, hace una versión tan espectacular como personalísima y, claro está, radicalmente moderna.

> También estas obras de "Organia" pertenecen a un mundo de sueños y obsesiones de Rafa Muñoz, dónde sus figuras resaltan por la elegancia de sus tonos monocromos y por los esmerados detalles de su obra que, de igual modo, nos transportan a los dibujos realizados por botánicos para la Enciclopedie Française de Denis Diderot (Langres, 1713 / París, 1784) o por naturalistas en expedición alrededor del mundo como fue la de Jean-François de La Pérouse (Albi, 1741 / desaparecido en las Islas Salomón 1788) y que al igual que éste Rafa Muñoz, naturalmente a su manera y quehacer artístico, también circunda el mundo, el suyo, dándole forma con riesgo y arte. THE ARTIST AND HIS WORK
Rafa Muñoz (Alicante, 1975; painter / photographer) is primarily an artist in its purest condition: Lives, plays, develops and breathes art relentlessly in all his creations. Rafa Muñoz is preparing a collection of monochrome painting, with mixed media on paper and divided into series of five different formats, which he rightly names “ORGANIA”.
“ORGANIA” is a great work composed by unique originals. The artist Rafa Muñoz gives birth to this amazing collection after his stay in Mexico, where he realized anthropological studies about shamanism. Unusual collection of graphic art –directly inspired by nature and the oneiric- which will take him to go through the depths of psyche, natural energies and symbolic universe in the human being, common to him in every time and culture.
Rafa Muñoz as a creator and artist performs his universes, as well, as a platform from which to observe and interpret Art History without complexes and, therein lays its value and strength, but without ever losing his very personal perspective and vision of the original artist that he essentially is.
About “ORGANIA” most prestigious critics have said:
“this graphic series”Organia” participates in the romantic ardour that enraptured by splendour of nature. Impressive and varied series of prints about the glory of ecosystems, and that remind us the artistic production of Battista Piranesi (architect, researcher, engraver; Treviso 1720/Roma 1778) in his most dramatic and distressing work –Carceri d’invenzione-.  In unmistakable rash flavour, they recreate a delusional and grandiose set of design spaces, in the same style developed in back centuries those utopian artists such as Louis Etienne Boullé (architect; Paris 1728 / id. 1799). FORMATS
Surely this four series of “Organia” (formats 26x37, 26x42, 33x46 and 50x70) composed by 43 amazing monotypes won’t pass unnoticed to experts, gallery owners, collectors/investors and, in short, between art lovers in general. And this will be due to the original way of treating space and drawing That Rafa Muñoz stamps on his unique pieces, and that with so much concern, virtuosity and dedication shows in this particular issue.
The massive forms nearly architectural interpenetrating itself with violence, the dark and winding spaces, the branches that lead to nowhere causing the distress as much as aesthetic pleasure, the bewilderment or arborescent fables that appear and inspire these scenarios, are of a matchless style nowadays, but that based in our best pictorial tradition, as only Rafa Muñoz knows how to do, remind us those works of the member of the Surrealist group Yves Tanguy (Paris, 1900/ New York, 1955) but ahead of this painter and of his work making strange and wonderful seeds with shapes of fantastical animals, arranged in crowded living imaginary landscapes.
Rafa Muñoz also drinks of Gustave Doré springs (Strasbourg, 1832 –Paris 1883) in his superb illustrations for the Divine Comedy of Dante Alighieri (Florence, 1625 / Ravenna, 1321): remember those arborescent men at the Purgatory or the circle chorus of angels watched by Dante and Beatrice in Paradise and engraved by the Frenchman and from whom our artist, Rafa Muñoz, creates one version as spectacular as absolutely personal, and of course, radically modern.
These “Organia” works belong as well to a world of dreams and obsessions of Rafa Muñoz, where his figures highlight by the elegance of its monochrome tones and for the painstaking details of his work that, in the same way, take us back to the drawing realized by botanists for the Enciclopedie Française of Denis Diderot (Langres, 1713 / Paris, 1784) or by naturalists in their expeditions around the world as the one made by Jean-Françoise de la Pérouse (Albi, 1741 /disappeared in Salomon Islands 1788) and who, as well as this one, Rafa Muñoz, naturally on his own way and artistic work, also surrounds the world, his own one, giving it shape with risk and art. Inner world, this of our painter, to whom we can just only predict recognition and being an artist nowadays – something that collectors already know – in sharp rise.
